Lost in Thought by John Hopkins

The night always had a healing wind. The chill of the evening bit me and always gave me time to explore my thoughts through all the darkness. The stars shine and my mind dances.

Relationships, work, and fun are but meaningless things if we do not appreciate them. The night gives me time. Time to appreciate the things that other people fail to see.

Nostalgia is the only thing that keeps me going. The past fuels me to go on, and the thought of the unknown future makes me excited. These two ideas give birth to the present.

Well that's what I think, anyway. Our actions are influenced by what we were, and our actions change as we look to the future to be who we want to be. A paradox of sorts, with the answer only ending with one word.

Today.
