Dear Mr. President,

Today, I listened to your inauguration speech and I was proud that I voted for you. I watched it with 50 teenagers and was amazed that they were quiet. They look to you as the leader of our nation and your leadership will direct their transition into adulthood and guide their lives.

However, as you talked about in your speech, this nation is not just about you and not just about your presidency, we are all “keepers of this legacy.” You called all of us to exercise our freedoms and our citizenship: “For as much as government can do and must do, it is ultimately the faith and determination of the American people upon which this nation relies.”

Thank you for reminding us that we cannot blame others for what ills our own nation and that we must work together for a common good with “unity of purpose.”

I gave you my vote, I rallied your cause, and defended your politics. Now I ask of you to not let me down and I promise I will not let you down either.

That sounded meaner than I thought.. I actually like him. Just not seeing any 'change,' except the media liking him.
